Welcome to my first Pinteresting Review…Mini Apple Pies.  The above picture is the original pin (it links to the original on Pinterest…just click on the pic)  which has now had 4257 repins, 745 likes and 19 comments!  The original recipe was pinned from a post by Crystal over at A Little Bit Funky and if you follow this link to her site you can get this recipe plus a ton more:  http://www.littlebitfunky.com/2011/10/what-i-made-for-monday.html  She also has step by step pictures and she did a great job!   I can say with all certainty that you would not be disappointed if you try these.  The Hubby wolfed down three right away and my future son-in-law packed a bag to take home!  The only variations to Crystal’s original recipe that I made was to use homemade crust (not because I don’t like boxed but I didn’t have any on hand) and I omitted the nutmeg because my family isn’t a fan.  The pies were very simple to make and the filling just stirs up in one bowl so clean up was easy too.  I sprayed the muffin tins before putting the crust in and ran a tiny spatula around the edges before removing and they came out easy as pie…hahaha. Here are a few pictures of my mini pies, not quite as pretty as Crystal’s and I really need a new muffin tin but they tasted awesome!  If you click on them you can see them bigger and it will make you hungrier…I hope!  Please come back for the next review:  Cheesy Vegetable Chowder
