We enjoy all kinds of pie out our house…sweet and savory. I have been known to grab a box of Pillsbury Ready Made Pie Crust and I admit they are pretty good. However you still need to put a sprinkle of flour on them and roll them out and truthfully if you use the food processor you can whip up a pie crust in no time. I have made crust with butter and with shortening and I finally decided that the blend of both as many chefs recommend is my favorite. You can also make this crust by hand by cutting the fat into the flour with a pastry blender or a fork. The pie above is made with canned pie filling I had on hand but of course home made filling is awewome!
